DRAWING BLACK YELLOW

2014
graphite and acrylic on mat board
17 x 36 x 1 inches

Working line by line, New York artist Anne Lindberg suggests motion and light through strokes of graphite and lines of thread in her two-dimensional works and ethereal installations. In Drawing Black Yellow, thousands of vertical lines radiate out from the yellow bar. The density of the lines suggests speed and frequencies, elements that she associates with human perceptions and our primal interactions with the natural world. Lindberg has exhibited across the US and her drawings and thread installations are in public and private collections.
