Tatehana Takes Tokyo

Dorothy, unleash your inner Gaga, you’re not in Dallas anymore…

Noritaka Tatehana began creating his iconic heel-less shoes in 2010 as his graduation project at the Tokyo University of the Arts. The shoes take inspiration from clogs worn by Japanese courtesans in the Edo Period. His designs are included in the permanent collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Noted artist Daphne Guinness and Lady Gaga are just two of Tatehana’s glamorous fashion-forward clients.

While in Tokyo, you will have the unique opportunity to visit the designer’s atelier for a custom fitting for your own pair of Noritaka Tatehana’s shoes. Get a taste for Tokyo and put your feet up for three nights at The Peninsula Tokyo in a beautiful deluxe park view room with breakfast at The Lobby for two.

*The experience is valid between November 2015 and October 2016.
*Airfare and ground transportation are not included.
*Mutually agreed upon date for the atelier visit. Blackout dates at the Peninsula may apply, see certificate for details
