California artist Michael Dopp explores vocabularies of both imagery and non-objectivity. In Untitled (Shape Painting, Pale Floating), Dopp’s signature, whimsical black-and-white motif dances with minimal abstract forms, creating a scene that seems to float on the canvas. Dopp received his MFA from University of California Los Angeles in 2009. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the US, and he also works on curatorial projects.
