Eyes, hands, and arrows appear often in his work, seen here in Search for True I, which suggests a self-reflective search for inner truth. The universal quality of Sherman’s symbols is heightened by the vase/goblet form – a historical object with ceremonial associations. Sherman lives and works in New York City, and he has exhibited his ceramic pieces in the US, Europe, and Mexico.
