In 2011, Korean designer Wonmin Park established Studio Wonmin Park in Eindhoven. With his design objects, Park aims to make pieces that are “beautiful, attractive and engage with their surroundings.” Minimal in their geometry and made in a soft color palette, his objects possess a clear-minded simplicity. His Haze series displays the designer’s attraction to resin for its ability to capture the ephemeral quality of light, seen here in Haze Stool (Purple and Pink), a beautiful functional object that is part chair, part Minimalist sculpture. Park has exhibited his work at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, and at Design Miami, and TEFAF New York. His works now belong to important collections, such as the Triennial Design Museum in Milan, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul.
